Who we are

House Bug Guide (housebugguide.com) publishes identification and removal information about common household bugs. The site is owned and published by NET STUDIO LLC, 1501 South Greeley Hwy, Ste C #1386, Cheyenne, WY 82007. This page explains what data we collect when you visit, why, and what choices you have.

What we collect

We don’t run user accounts and comments are closed sitewide, so we never collect a login, a password, or a comment you’ve posted. The data we do handle falls into two categories:

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics, connected through Google Site Kit, to see which pages get read and how visitors reach the site. It records things like your approximate location (city/region level, from your IP address), device and browser type, pages viewed, and how long you stay. This data is aggregated and isn’t used to identify you personally.
  • Advertising. We plan to run Google AdSense ads on this site. Once ads are live, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to serve ads based on your visits here and to other sites. Where required — in the EU, EEA, and UK — a consent banner will let you accept or decline personalized ads before any such cookie is set.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies for analytics and, once ads go live, for advertising. We don’t use cookies for logins or comments, since neither feature is active on this site. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

Contact forms

If you reach out through our Contact page, we use the email address and message you provide only to reply to you. We don’t add you to a mailing list from a contact message, and we don’t share it with anyone outside the site.

Embedded and third-party content

Our pages don’t embed videos, social widgets, or other third-party content that would track you beyond the analytics and advertising described above. Fonts are self-hosted on our own server rather than loaded from a third-party font service, so no font request leaves a trace with an outside company.

Some links on this site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you buy something after clicking through, at no extra cost to you. Following one of these links may set a cookie on the retailer’s site, governed by that retailer’s own privacy policy, not ours. An affiliate link never changes what we recommend or what you pay.

Who we share data with

We share analytics data with Google (via Google Analytics/Site Kit) and, once ads go live, advertising data with Google AdSense and its partners. We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t share it with anyone else.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, and to opt out of analytics or personalized ads. Children’s privacy

This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from them.
